defensivereaction,togetawayfromanattacker,forexample.Theycanthen

grownewarmstorecetheoldones.Starfishreproducebyreleasingeggs

intothesea.Theseeggsdevelopintolarvae,andcanswimfreely.Theseearly

formswhicharewhatlarvaeare,differfromadultstarfish,becausethelarvae

havebilateralsymmetry.Thatmeansthatthetwohalvesofthelarvaelook

exactlythesame,whichmakesthemlookalotdifferentfromthelaterformof

thestarfish.Eventuallythelarvaesinktotheoceanbottomandchangeintothe
