Thisabilitytochangeandadaptisnotlimitedtospecificskillsorfunctions.Studieshaveshownthatneuroplasticitycanalsohelpindividualsrecoverfromstrokesorotherbraininjuries.Byfocusingonrehabilitationandcreatingnewneuralpathways,patientscanoftenregainlostfunctions.Thisiswhyphysicalandoccupationaltherapyaresoimportantforstrokevictims;theyprovidethenecessarystimulationtoencouragethebraintohealandreorganize.
