theacceptedtheoryorevidence.Heassumes,forinstance,backward-sloping

supplycurvesandthatthepricesofferedbystatemarketingboardsarenot

affectedbymarkets.Thereareethicaltradingalternativeswhichavoidallthe

criticismsofFairtrade.
