Thisprocedureshouldonlybecarriedoutifitisabsolutelynecessary.Moving
(revoking)licensesfromoneservertoanothercancausedisruptiontoyourusers.
Ifyouareusingakeyednetworklicense,ensurethatthekeyisattachedtotheserver.
Torevokenetworklicenses,itmaybenecessarytodisabletheUserAccessControl
(UAC):ControlPanel►UserAccounts►TurnUserAccountControlOnorOff.
Whatislicenserevocation?
LicenserevocationenabproductlicensestobepermanentlyremovedfromoneServerPC
sothattheycanbeinstalledonanotherone.Typically,thisprocessisusedwhenretiringa
ServerPCormovingsomeorallthelicensestoanewoneinadifferentlocation.Thereare2
methodsforrevokingnetworklicenses.
Requirements:
•SentinelRMSLicenseManagerVersion8.5.1orhigherisinstalledontheserverPC
(version9.1isavailableonyourinstallationmedia).
•TheServerPChasanInternetconnection.
•ThelicensedproductortheCLSLicensinginstallationpackisinstalledontheserver
Features:
•Willrevokeallthelicensesfortheselectedservercodeautomatically.
•IflicensesformultipleVeroproductsareinstalledontheserverunderdifferent
servercodes,onlythelicensesfortheselectedservercodewillberevoked.
•Licensescannotberevokedifanyofthemareinuse.
Thisprocedurecanonlybecarriedoutiftherequirementslistedabovearemet.
Oncethelicenseshavebeenrevokedfromaserver,theoriginallicensefilecannotbe
usedonitagain.
