storagesystemsduetotheabundanceandlowcostofpotassiumresources.Dual

graphitebatteries,withgraphiteasbothanodeandcathode,eliminatetheuseof

transitionmetalcompoundsandgreatlylowertheoverallcost.Herein,combining

themeritsofthepotassiumionbatteryanddualgraphitebattery,apotassium-based

dualionbatterywithdual-graphiteelectrodeisdeveloped.Itdeliversareversible

capacityof62mAhg−1andmediumdischargevoltageof≈3.96V.Theintercalation/

deintercalationmechanismofK+andPF6−into/fromgraphiteisproposedand

discussedindetail,withvariouscharacterizationstosupport.

Currently,theincreasinglysevereenergyandenvironmentalcommonlyaremadeoftransitionmetalcompounds,which

issueshaveforcedresearcherstopursuerenewableenergynotonlyincreasetheoverallcostbutalsoareusuallyharmful

theless,therenewableenergycannotbeusedreadilyuntilagreatchallengetoexplorerechargeablebatterieswithlow
