Body language is a term for communication using body movements or gestures instead of, or in addition to, sounds, verbal language or other communication.1 It forms part of the category of paralanguage, which describes all forms of human communication that are not verbal language. This includes the most subtle of movements that many people are not aware of, including winking and slight movement of the eyebrows. From the naissance of the human being, the body language as the first language of human have, still consists in the history of the human development. It as vocal language, is one of the cultural carriers, charged with the mission of disseminator of human civilization. Body language is different with vocal language, it is a nonverbal form for some meanings by face or body movement. It contains face, eyes, head, hands, gestures, and some other body movements. In our daily life, people communicate with one another not only through verbal communication but also through non-verbal communication. Psychologist affirms that?“in a face-to-face communication, only about 35 percent of messages are sent by verbal behaviors and others are sent by nonverbal behaviors.”2 That is to say, non-verbal communication plays an important role in intercultural communication. But, different social background, different cultural system, different national civilization, always have different body language, or have the same body language, but not the same meaning. So, research the body language, is very significative for appropriate communicate in human communication.II. Different Types of Body Language and Their ImplicationsBody language has different types, simply to say, it contains three types, posture, eye contact and facial expressions, and physical contact.
