Technology and capital needed by developing country would be provided through CDM. There is a great energy saving potentials in iron and steel industry, and many energy saving technologies are applied in production process. Project identification should be done to determine whether it will be developed as a CDM project. The generation and emission of greenhouse gas from iron and steel. industry is introduced. The ways to identify Clean Development Mechanism project according to characteristics of iron and steel industry in China is analysed. Technology and reference was provided to relevant people for company. Let the company find out CDM project and develop it to achieve the technology and capital support from developed country through project identification.
