Compared to chem ically synthesized surfactants, bio-glycolipids have advantages in biodegradability and effectiveness at extreme temperature or critical p valuew ith lower toxicity or non-po-i son. Several bio-glycolipids have strong antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral activities. But compared to chem ically syn- thesized products, unfortunately, theproduction cost seems higher. M ore efforts are necessary to reduce the costs, which is the key points andmain developing trends in the RD works currently.
