a-Si A amorphous silicon 以材料結構而言，amorphous的意思是指未結晶的狀態。Amorphous silicon膜具有作為半導體材料之特性，可用plasma CVD裝置在400℃以下的温度下形成。因此成為使用玻璃基板之主動矩陣（active matrix）方式液晶面板的TFT主力元件材料。 Amorphous means lacking distinct crystalline in material structure’s term.
