The configuration and basic requirements of ISG hybrid electric vehicle with dual clutches were
analyzed in detail. A logic threshold control strategy based on the power system of ISG hybrid electric vehicle
with dual clutches was proposedwhich integrated the static and dynamic control strategies. The operating
model of the whole vehicle was decided according to static logic thresholds and then the optimal operating
points were looked up in certain operating model to dynamically control engine output torque and ISG motor.
Based on the software Matlab/Simulink the power system models were established and the performance of
the ISG hybrid electric vehicle was simulated. It is concluded that the control strategy can match the dynamic
demand of the whole vehicle. Compared with traditional vehicle the fuel economy can be improved by 19% and
exhaust emissions of hybrid electric vehicle can be effectively reduced.
