M ethods: To detect the H ER - 2 p rotein exp re ssion and the gene amp lification w ith imm unoh istochem istry and fluorescence in situ hybridization re sp ectively. Results: H ER - 2 p rotein detection w ith IHC: in 77 wom en w ith breast infiltrating ductal carcinom a, the negative [ ( - ) - ( + ) ] accounted for 35. 06% , ( + + ) 37. 66% , ( + + + ) 27. 27%. H ER - 2 gene amp lification detection w ith F ISH , po sitive rate wa s 51. 95%. The group w ith IHC ( + + + ) had the F ISH po sitive rate of 90. 48% , the group w ith IHC ( + + ) had the F ISH po sitive rate of 68. 97% and the group w ith IHC [ ( - ) - ( + ) ] had the F ISH po si ( ) tive rate of 3. 07% , w ith sign ificant difference P 0. 0 1 . If we con siderde H ER - 2 gene amp lification as po sitive standard, re su lt w ith IHC ( + + + ) had the po sitive p redictive v
