Abstract: R ecovery o f rare ea rths from pho spho r sludge produced during fluo rescent lamp production by ac id leach ing w as investiga
ted. Expe rmi en tal results show ed that ra re earths could be d isso lved from phosphor sludge by acid leach ing. Compared w ith HC l leac
h ing and HNO 3 leach ing, higher leach ing eff ic iency o f ra re earths from phosphor sludge could be obta ined by sulfuric ac id leach ing.
