The book also lays stress on the communication. According to the problem of Chinese students’ learning English, the book designs a lot of materials to improve the students’ ability of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. So I think the book is quite suitable for junior students. 课本中含有较多的图片,能够吸引初中生的学习兴趣,侧重交流学习,多方面锻炼学生的听、说、读、写能力,适合初中学生使用. Analysis of the students Junior students in grade 8 have already studied English for more than one year, they are now able to understand some simple sentences and also can communicate with each other. So it would be easy for me to carry on the class with some task, such as answering my questions, making conversations and doing pair work. (初中八年级学生已经学习英语一段时间,并且初步掌握了一定的英语知识,可以在课上用简单句式相互交流,因此教师的教学工作得以开展,学生能够听到教师提问并用英语作答,也可以相互对话,完成小组活动。) 学情分析 Analysis of the students On the other hand, as junior students are quite young, it`s hard for them to focus their attention on the class all the time, so teacher should try some creative activities ,such as pair work, to draw their interest and to carry on the class smoothly.
