Abstract A phylogeneticanalysisofthegenusActinodaphne(Lauraceae)wasconducted
usingsequencesfromthenrDNA(nuclearribosoma1DNA、internal仃anscribedspacer(ITS)
and externaltranscribed spacer(ETS)regions．Maximum parsimony (MP、，maximum
1ikelihood(ML)andBayesianphylogeneticanalysismethodswereemployedtoanalysethe
datasets(ITS．ETSandITS／ETS)．Al1analysessuggestedthatthesampledActinodaphne
specieswerenotmonophyletic，clusteringinsteadasseveralcladesamongstothergenerain
thetribeLaureae．ThisresultindicatesthatthegenericdelimitationsbetweenActinodaphne
andrelatedgeneraneedtobereevaluated，andthatinflorescencefeatures，whicharemostly
consistentwiththecurrentmolecularinferences．mightbetheboth importantandreliable
charactersfortheirredefinition．However．becauseoftherelatively smallnumberoftaxa
sampled，andconflictsbetweentheseparateanalyses，moredetailedstudiesarerequiredto
clarifytherelationshipswhichemergedinoursutdyandtoallow formoreprecisegeneric
delimitationandhypothesesaboutphylogenyinActinodaphne．
