It is known that under the long-term dynamic loads, fatiguecracksmayoccur in thewelded joints, inparticular in the jointswithweldingdefects, whichmay C causebrittle fractureofthe joints and even lead to thecollapseofthestructures. Hence, in order topreventthe fatigue failureofa steel lattice structure, it is mportanti topredictthe fatiguecrack propagation at its critical jointsaccurately. 模 Thispaper presentsa computationalmethod for thefatiguecrack propagation and fractureatthe jointsof thesteellattice structures. A mult-iscalemethod for analyzing the stress of steel lattice structures is established and a solid element 楷 modelof thecommercialfiniteelementsoftwarepackageANSYS isused in thispapertomodelthreedimensionalcracked O structuresat firs.t Secondly, area-ltimemethod for computing thestress intensity factorof the fatiguecrack propagation isproposed.
