Unit26 Vocabulary and speaking教案
Teaching Aim:
The part here introduces the topic of the whole unitemotions. Students are asked to accumulate some words and phrases about emotions.
Stage 1 warm up
Teacher here can present some pictures from the book and ask students to brainstorm as many adjectives as possible to describe the person’s mood.
Stage 2 word –building
Learn the words about emotions in exercise 1 by grouping them together and identifying whether they are weak or strong.
Stage 3 word-strengthening
Give students several situations from exercise 3 and ask them to put themselves in the shoes of the speaker and describe their feelings about each situation. Here teachers can have a competition as groups. Any group who has used the most adjectives from exercise 1 can get some prizes.

To introduce the usages of perfect verb forms to students:
①present perfect simple
②present perfect continuous
③past perfect simple
④past perfect continuous
⑤future perfect simple
⑥perfect infinitive following modal verbs for subjunctive mood
Stage 1 review of general use of continuous tense
①To describe an activity which is/was/will be going on at a certain moment(时刻) of present, past or future
②To describe an action which is/was/will be going on during a short period of time at present, in the past or in the future.
Stage 2 special sue
①“always/frequently/constantly/for ever, continually +doing” to show the repetitiveness of the speaker
②Past continuous for polite request
③present continuous for future arrangement
Stage 3 state verbs
①What are the state verbs?
②the differences between the continuous tense and present tense
Stage 4 homework
