Lead-in Listen to the song Auld Lane Syne to arouse students’ interest. 2. Ask and answer the question： How do Chinese people greet each other in formal situations? Step 2. Picture Talking 1. Talk about the four pictures in pairs or groups focusing on the ways of specific greetings. 2. Ask and answer the questions: 1) Why do you think that people in different countries greet each other in different ways? 2) Can you think of any other customs that are different in different parts of the world?
