Abstract Discarded printed circuit board (PCB) is one of themost mi portant parts of electronicwastes,
which containsmany valuable components. It can cause serious environm entalproblemswhen it is treated un
properly. Crushing printed circuitboard into the size less than 5 mm, them ajor components and liberation char
acteristics ofPCB have been analyzed in detailThematerials in PCB, such asmetal, resin and plastic are recy
clable. The basic liberation size ofmetals and nonmetal is 1. 2 mm. Liberation degree is 55. 51% . Plastic and
metal ( not Cu, Fe) aremain components inm aterial of 05~ 5mm, resin and copper aremain components in
materialof0~ 05 mm. The averagemetal content is 23. 80%, the average copper content is 5. 78%
