201210 ABAQUS Hashin Tan T800 Hashin Tan Research on 3D Progressive Damage of Bolt Joints for Composite laminates YUAN Jianfeng, NI Zao, CHEN Baoxing Shanghai Aircraft Design and Research Institute of COMAC, Shanghai 201210 Abstract: Based on 3D finite element model, the non-linear 3D Hashin criteria is introduced by ABAQUS User Subroutine. The failure load and mode of bolt joints for T800 composite laminates are predicted with instantaneous and exponential material degradation models based on Tan stiffness degradation criteria. The results of prediction are also compared with those of test. The comparison shows the non-linear 3D Hashin criteria can simulate the bearing damage evolution of bolt joints for composite laminates and predict the failure load and mode well. The predicted results of instantaneous and exponential degradation model based on Tan criteria both agree with the results of test very well, but the latter is more closely to test than the former.
