Abstract ：The research on passive soft switching being an interesting field again for several reasons, such as less component, simple structure, easy to control and lower cost. Brief characters of two typical kinds of passive soft switching are given, the differences between these two methods are compared and analyz ed in detail, and their respective advantages and application are also indicated in this paper.
