Good science demands strong writing Use definite, specific, concrete language Use parallel construction for coordinate ideas Emphasis position of a sentence is the end Avoid sentences in loose succession;  instead use expectation: AB, BC, CD….. In grants, write as if reader is tired and may stop. Find a style that you like. Analyze it. Emulate it. In science, you are what you write.
