As a thinker, educator, and founder of Confucianism living over two thousand and five hundred years ago, he has been adored by later generations as “the Greatest Sage” and a paragon of virtue and learning for all ages. 他倡导“仁爱”，推崇“礼之用，和为贵”、“和而不同”的处事原则，追求“大同”的社会理想，其学说成为中国两千多年的文化正统。 He advocated “benevolence, or love of others,” emphasized some life principles, such as “In practicing the rules of etiquette, harmony is to be prized,” and “harmony in diversity,” and pursued the social ideals of “Great Harmony.” His doctrines have become cultural orthodoxy for more than two thousand years in Chinese history. 曾修《诗》、《书》，定《礼》、《乐》，序《周易》，作《春秋》，主张“有教无类”，开启了平民教育的先河。 He also edited and compiled the six classics, i.e., The Book of Songs, The Book of History, The Book of Rites, The Book of Music, The Book of Changes, and The Spring and Autumn Annals. He insisted on “education for all without discrimination,” fathering the education for the common people. 孔子思想、学说的精华，比较集中地见诸于《论语》一书，此书对中国历史产生了深远而巨大的影响。它的思想内容、思维方式、价值取向都已融入了中华民族的血液，沉淀在中华民族的生命中，铸成了中华民族的个性。 Confucius’ major ideas were recorded in Analects, which has an enormous and far-reaching influence on Chinese history and whose thoughts, thinking mode and value orientation have all been absorbed into the lifeblood of the Chinese people and thus become part of their life and character. 孔子为后世贡献了规范秩序的城市文明价值体系。 Confucius also left a rich heritage of the ordered value system of urban civilization for later generations. 孙武 名武，战国时期齐国人，被后人尊为兵圣、东方兵学的鼻祖。 Sun Wu, a native of the State of Qi (Linzi in present-day Shandong), a strategist in
