摘 要 本体(ontology)的。20世纪90年代以来，调研了国内外大量文献和网页的基础上，全面研究探索了本体的理论与方法。阐述了本体的起源、概念、类型和作用，介绍了国内外关于本体研究的发展现状、应用领域、主要研究机构和研究内容，探讨了本体的相关理论和主要技术方法。在这些理论的指导下，采用W3C推荐的本体描述语言OWL作为编写语言，以基于螺旋模型原型化方法作为开发指导，使用Protégé2000工具创建了一个以计算机机科学技术资源为应用领域的领域本体 通过分析本体和E-R模型之间的关系，进而分析了本体在数据库概念建模中的作用，并由此提出了一种利用 ABSTRACT Ontology originated in philosophy. Aristotle defined Ontology as the science about being in the world. Since 1990s, ontology has been introduced in Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Engineering and Library Information sciences. And then the definition of ontology has been changed. Ontology is a new technology of knowledge representation in AI. It uses concepts and relations between concepts to describe abstract facts and build models. At present, there is no mature methodology to guide the development of ontologies. The development of ontologies should be an engineering process the same as softwared development. However, compared with traditional software development, constructing ontologies emphasizes evolvement, share and reuse. So it has more engineering characteristics. In the software engineering, both spiral model and prototype method emphasize evolvement. Combine the thought of the software engineering, this paper adopts this model and method. The ontological theory and method have been described systematically on the basis of intensive investigation of large number of documents and web pages on ontology studying in this paper. The origin, definition, type and role of ontology have been described. The state of arts of ontology research in China and foreign countries has been introduced. The distinctions between ontology and thesaurus, ontology and semantic network have been analyzed. With the guidance of theory, we adopt OWL(web ontology language) which is recommended by W3C as the ontology language, with the guidance of spiral model and prototype method, we use Protégé2000 to build domain ontology.
