Dep artment of H ema tology ，th e Gener al H osp ita l of P A ，Beij ing 100853 ，China [Abstract] Obj ective To study the effect of whether the catheter clip is closed or not on the catheter- sealing when the under - collarbone central venous catheter connected by a Kolafu j oint. Methods 88 cases of hematopoietic stem cells transplantation were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the ex- perimental group , with the under - collarbone central venous catheter in each group. In either group , the cathe- ter was flushed by 50m1of NS first. The catheter clip was open in the control group and closed in the experi- mental group. Then the effects of catheter sealing were compared between the two groups. Results TheXztest on these results showed a significant difference in the two methods (P 0. 05) . Conclusions It is pre- ferred that the cathet er clip of the central venou s catheter connected by a Kolafu j oint is closed as it is helpful to prevent the catheter from j amming.
