The steelconcrete hybrid structuremodalw as equivalent as two degree of freedom system, which was executed a pseudodynam ic testing w ith 7 cases earthquake acceleration wave. The displacem ent tmi e history of top floor, the m ax mi al floor displacem ent and interstory displacem ent angle of the m odel structure were obtained. By comparingw ith the finite elem ent analysis results, it was found that the test results were in good agreem ent w ith the calculation results. The test results ind icate that the hybrid structure has no obv ious failure characteristics under 7 degree basic intensity and 7degree of rare earthquake. Cracks appears on the coupling beam s, the floor slabs and the bottom layer of the core tube under the rare earthquake ofmagnitude of 8degree and 9degree, but the steel fram e is in unyielding status and the structure has good bearing capacity. At the peak acceleration of 10g and 16g of earthquake inputs, cross inclined crack appears on the coupling beam s and they are badly cracked in the type of shear failure. Horizontal crack d
