IMC is applied to the rotor flux speed loop of c cloconverter- fed adj ustable speed drive s stem. With the help of engineering design meth od , the IMC design meth od b ased on IMC prin ciple is presented, th e current, rotor flux speed controllers ar e design ed. T he stu cture of cur rent controller is PI, rotor flux speed controllers are PI or PID, but the controllers h ave onl on e adjustable pa- ram eter that is dir ectl related to s stem perform ance, th e structure of contr ollers is simple. T heoretical anal - sis and simulation results show that the desig ned controllers b ased on IMC principle have better per formance than the controllers designed b ased on engineer ing design m ethod.
