Becau se o f the extru s on o fY ang tze plate and Songpan-Aba block, Longm enshan began to fo ld up l ft at late Indo-Ch nese epoch. T he three m a n faults becam e the rev erse fau lts from the norm a l faults n the o rogen c process. Based on the deve loped theo ry, through the f e ld observa t on and the equ l br um sec t on, the m ounta n-bu ld ng process o f L ongm enshan O rogen w as d scovered, and the tecton c evo lu t on pa ttern of orogen w as estab- l shed.
