Analysis of Competency Model for Firs-t line Managers

Abstract: First-line managers play a role in connecting leaders and staff in organization management, w ho
are the executors of enterprise strategy. T he advance and continuity of first-line managers abilities have a-l
ready become the key factor to realize the enterprise strategy, w hich is the guarantee of continues develop-
ment of enterprise. Competency model gives a new standpoint to understand the roles of first-line manag-
ers. This article sets up a competency model and provides an effective evidence for recruitment, selection,
training, performance appraisal and salary management aiming at the characteristic of first-line manager.
