The latest requirements of machine tool user comprise of diversification of control object,complexity of process, flexible of application and high reliability. The function of tool magazine is that stores the tool and moves the tool which will be used in the next manufacturing process to the right changeover position and robot will finish the change over tool When the tool magazines capacity is so big and the distance of tool position is more far away the principal axis, there need the tool exchanging unit to implement the changeover work between the principal axis and tool magazine. The framework of this function include the robot, tools rotation station and changeover robot.PLC control the use of hydraulic transmission, made hydraulic transmission to more stable and accurate. this design topic is based on the PLC machining center tool change control system design.
