Step I Revision
Students ask and answer in pairs.
S1: What’s the date today?
S2: It’s December 7.
S1: What day is it today?
S2: It’s Friday.
Step II Presentation
Teacher asks one student: When is your birthday? Help the students to answer: My birthday is ____.
Teacher makes a dialogue with one student.
T: How old are you?
S: I’m ____years old.
T: When is your birthday?
S: My birthday is ______.
Students ask and answer this dialogue in pairs.
Step III Practice
Listen and answer
Teacher tells the students to listen to the tape and answer the following questions:
How old is Danny?
When is Danny’s birthday?
How old is Bob?
When is Bob’s birthday?
Listen to the tape and repeat
Students ask and answer in pairs to talk about their parents’ age and birthdays.
d Get the students to write a passage about their family members’ ages and birthdays. One student write on the blackboard then check the answer.

Teacher teach “ bloom” and “flower”
Learn the song line by line[K]
Step V Practice
Divide the class into six groups. Each group thinks about some actions for each part of the song.
Choose two students from each group. Ask them to stand in the front .Present their actions while singing the song. The whole class sing along together with them.
