Under the sponsor of Green Dragon Fund and the technical support of Hong Kong Productivity Council and Azure consulting company, LCMP set up an accounting system and approval procedure for the plants to record the carbon emission of greenhouse gases. The carbon auditing system proposed by LCMP was established according to the GHG Protocol. It is a standardized, consistent, dependable and simple online report and supervision system. Plants involved may use this tool to prepare the greenhouse gases list for the plant and record the carbon emission (including direct and indirect discharge). At the same time, LCMP makes an assessment on the plant’s carbon emission management policy, system and technology level. Based on the plant’s performance on the greenhouse gases carbon emission management and the review and verification procedures of the third party, a certificate (with the level of platinum, gold and silver, etc.) will be promulgated by the WWF.
