Free Reading Superman to the End 1 Christopher Reeve，the famous actor of Superman, died on October 10th，2004. Born in New York，he began his career as an actor at the age of 15. After graduating from Cornell University， he went on with his dream of becoming an actor and appeared in many screen and television roles. 2 Several years later，Reeve was chosen from among 200 actors to play Superman in the 1978 movie Superman.
