Effects of PID paramerters on system performance When proportional coefficient increases, the oscillation intensifies for the front of the output voltage wave The increased integral coefficient can reduce output voltage oscillation and increase system stability, but the adjust time and rise time become longer With the increase of differential coefficient , the adjusting time will increase, system stability becomes weaker, but the system reaction becomes fast The fast start-up and high stability is obvious when the DC-DC converter is controlled by the modified sliding mode PID controller When DC-DC converter is controlled by the conventional sliding-mode controller, the steady state oscillation of the output voltage is obvious. (2)When the load is irregularly-varied Output voltage of different sliding mode controlled DC-DC converter with irregulary-varied resistance load Once the sliding mode controlled DC-DC system converges to the sliding surface, the system will have good robust to variable system parameter. V. Conclusion The modified sliding mode PID controller designed for the DC-DC converter has not only good dynamic and static performance, but also strong robust to variable system parameter.
