Methods Length and width of 1052 external ears in 632 fetuses at 1 - 4 1 weeks gestational ages were measured with ult rasonogra2 phy. Standard deviations and 95% confidence intervals of t he length, width and the products of the length multiplied by the width were calculated. Results Values of 1 - 38 weeks gestational ages satisfied t he conditions of t2 distribution and U2 dis2 t ribution as well, and 39- 41 weeks gestational ages satisfied only the conditions of t2 distribution. Conclusion The normal ultrasonographic values of embryo external ear are obtained, which are helpful to the diagnosis of fetal ear deformities.
