From the view of global renewable energy development roadmap and development strategy, China PV industry development prospects are discussed. The solar cell and module production in China has ranked first in the world for 5years since 2007. PV module shipment in China was 21GWp in 2011 , toke more than 60% share of global, and with obvious cost-effective competitive advantage; PV market growth rate of China in 2011was big, PV system installed capacity reached 2.7GWp, become the largest PV markets outside Europe, also be the third largest country of PV system installation. But compared with manufacturing, the total volume of PV market is still too small, the PV modules used in domestic only shared 12.5% of the output. The over-reliance on world market is the main reason of Chinese PV industry suffered a great impact by international sovereign debt crisis since 2011. In addition to solar cells and PV modules, the other parts of PV industry chain, such as raw auxiliary materials, equipment manufacturing etc., also got full-scale development, which has played a great role for comprehensive development of PV industry in China, but compared with the international advanced level
