* 机电技术专业英语 Lesson Seven Text According to the motion forms and kinematic parameters of working links and prime movers, mechanisms can be chosen to convert the motions of prime moves into those actions of the working links. One way to do this is by decomposition and combination of the functions of the machine. Functions of the system are first resolved into several subfunctions or function elements. For each function element, all the possible function carriers (mechanisms which carry out the function) are listed. The combination of all the function carriers in each group provides a great many solutions among which some feasible ones can be chosen. Further evaluation of these feasible schemes will produce the best one. Selection of Mechanisms Lesson Seven Another effective way to select mechanism is imitation and reformation. First, determine the key techniques of the machine to be designed and then search for the corresponding devices as models.
