Abstract: By apply ing an am bient m ass spectrom etr ic m ethod d irect an aly sis in real tmi e
m ass spectrom etry (DART M S), a m ethod w as developed for rap id iden tification of the pr inc-i
pal constituen ts in different k inds o f tea. The identification o f d ifferen t k inds of tea w as also
ach ieved by character istic m ass spectrom etric s igna ls. Under atm ospher ic pressu re, DART M S
