John Bunyan
The Vanity Fair
The main characters in this novel are Christians, Pliable, Faithful, and Hopeful. (P85)

Note:The novel is a religious allegory. So cheats, plays, fools, theft, and murders are all symbols of social evils.(P86)
Now these pilgrims must go through the fair.(P88)/One chanced mockingly, “What will you buy?” B
