The coastal area in Fujian is one of t he regions whose economy develop ment is rapid , and whose landscap e ecological con struction plays a great important role in t he sustainable and stable economy develop ment in our country . This p ap er gives emp hasis on t he t hree basic characteristics in t his area according to t he t heory of landscap e ecology ,i . e . , t he complexity of landscap e structure ,t he diversity of landscap e function and t he changeability and frangibilit y of landscap e ecosystem . This p ap er also put s forward several kinds of landscap e ecological construction p atterns which are fit to t he develop ment of t his area , such as coastal shelter forest system , ecological agriculture and t he ecological restoration in waste land of diggings. Finally ,t his p ap er introduces t he relationship between landscap e ecological construction and ecological tour .
