Abstract: Difference of capacitive sensor was applied to the scanning system of radar as position sensor.W orking
characteristics of capacitive sensor w as studied and measurement circuit w as designed. The linearity and static
error of the capacitive sensor system w as tested and calibrated. The expermi ental results show that the linearity of
sensor reaches to 99. 9% at a lmi ited range and it offers precision position information to radar system.
