主减速器是汽车传动系中减小转速、增大扭矩的主要部件。对发动机纵置的汽车来说,主减速器还利用锥齿轮传动以改变动力方向。齿面接触强度校核Design and Analysis of SANTANA’s final drive
ABSTRACT
The final drive is the main components for reduce speed and increase torque in vehicle transmission systems. For the vehicle of longitudinal engine, the final drive also uses bevel gear drive to change the direction of force.
The issue is the final drive of SANTANA as an example. SANTANA use the single-stage final drive which has the advantage of simple structure, small size, light weight and high efficiency drive. Through in-depth study of its structure and working principle and according to theoretical calculations, we can calculate many important gear data which are the modulus, reference diameter, helix angle, tooth depth, contact ratio and overlap ratio, etc. Then we check the strength of tooth flank and tooth rook. ALL of the data on the current design of the final drive of driving bevel gear and follower bevel gear meet the request which are motioned in mechanical parts Handbook.
Then we can use the software of UG establish the final drive’s 3D solid model of SANTANA. Modeling process should pay attention to ahead of the size and use the technology of array, swept along guide, revolve body, summation, etc. This will enable modeling more accurate and convenient.
On the other hand, through the analysis of stress of picture, we can calculate the size about the tangential force of standard pitch circle in midpoint and the axial force of face width in midpoint. And, we can use FEA to analyze the strength between driving bevel gear and follower bevel gear. FEA will help you know the size of strength more intuitive and more easily understood the regional force of gear. Finally, we describe the adjustment and detection the meshing gap between driving bevel gear and follower bevel gear. This will help you to understand more deeply between gear and gear and produce a concept of space.
