Methods 190 family members of PLWHA, dwelling in Jingjiu town ship of Fuyang City were surveyed using the general selfefficacy scale, the situation of objective discrimination and Family AP AR (Adaptability, Partnership, rowth, Affection and Resolve) Index. Singlevariable analysis and logistic regres sion were used to analyze therelationship between suicide ideation and risk factors. Results 21. 1% family members of PLWHA hadsuicide ideation in northern rural area of Anhui. Singlevariable analysis showed that suicide ideation was as sociated with age, spousewith HIV, lower family adaptation and objective discrimination such asestranged, no con tact with friends, isolated by neighbors, discriminated by other people and no longer get help from other people.
