Calculation model of the Pagoda are built based on several simplif-i cat ions. With the dynamic modal analysis of the model, the self- oscillation character and the main modes of the structure are obtained. After making a seismic response spectrum analysis, internal force and story- dis- placement are gained, which are used to cheek the seismic deformat ion . As the complement of spectrum ana-l ysis, the method of elastic dynamic time history analysis is used to work out the responses of model under three earthquake waves , and the results are compared with those from spectrum analysis .
