The developing Space Tracking and S r- veillance System ( STSS) of the Un ited States, is to realize the amb ition to detect and recogn ize the m idco rse tar- gets. In th is article, the global space coverage perform ance of STSS is st d ied. F irstly, the possib le constellation config ration and param eters of the STSS are analysed as view ed from task req irem ents. Sencond ly, the m ode of earth lmi b exp loration is researched, and a m ethod abo t the STSS constellation coverage perform ance based on the earths core angle is proposed. F inally, the space coverage perform ance of possible constellation config ration is ana- lyzed. The s mi lant res lts indicated that the anti- defense of ballisticm issile w ill be faced w ith a greaterm enace.
