Dongguan University of Technology, Dongguan 523808, China) Abstract: wireless sensor newt orks for industrialwaste gas monitoring is proposed, combining the Z ig Bee shortrangewireless communications technology. The Tmega128 CPU is used as controller and CC2430 RF chip is used as radio frequency receiver/transm itter in hardware of gas monitoring node. The hardware and software design of network nodes are planned in detai,l and the data security communication in networks is also fully considered. Themonitoring system uses genetic clustering algorithm to balance the load over the sensor nodes. It has advantages of low cost, low power consumption, good scalability, and high security. The proposed system can realize realtmi e industrialwaste gasmonitoring, and can bewidely used in industrialwaste gasmonitoring in the industrial field.
