? The information below describes the referral tagging methodology for both SurfAid Coremetrics, and the steps necessary to correctly fill in the URL generation sheet
SurfAid Tagging Overview
? In order for results to be recorded and displayed properly by SurfAid, the URLs generated for tracking by referring media source must be encoded with
the correct parameters detailed below:
? Base URL?ca=valueme=valuemet=valuere=values_tact=value
? ca = campaign name
? me = media
? banner, psearch, ibm, print, tv, synd, etc.
? met = media type
? re= referring domain
? For banners it’s the website name, for search it’s the individual keyword, for print its 0 (unless you have different URLs per publication)
? s_tact = tactic code
? 8 digit alpha-numeric code
? Example:
Coremetrics Tagging Overview
? In addition to tagging for SurfAid, all campaigns at this time should also be tagged for Coremetrics tracking (to provide historical data for when SurfAid is shut down)
