SECTION 1 Evolvement of atmosphere in the globe Our earth is surrounded by heavy atmosphere. The rare air exists beyond 1000km from earth surface. Eight Planet Now we can summarize the atmospheric evolution process as follow. (1)Light gas, such as hydrogen and helium, escapes from atmosphere gradually. Carbon dioxide content decreases greatly and oxygen content increases evidently. Nitrogen content accumulates gradually and become stabilization. (2)Reductive atmosphere of original air become gradually oxidative atmosphere of modern air. (3)Biosphere formation play an important role in the atmosphere evolution. SECTION 2 Atmospheric vertical structure Experiments shows that atmospheric temperature, chemical constitute, and other characteristic have different change laws. So, the atmosphere is divided into five parts according to temperature vertical distributing method. 1. Troposphere Near equator the thickness of troposphere is about 16—18km. Middle latitude 10—12km, the two poles 8—9km. Remarkable characteristic of troposphere is as follow. (1) Atmospheric temperature decreases with the increase of the altitude. Atmospheric temperature will decrease 0.6℃ while altitude increases 100m. (2) In troposphere, air density is bigger and content of water vapor is abundant.
