A de- sired islanding detection method can not only detect islanding within acceptable duration, but also have less adverse impact on power quality. This paper analyzes basic principles to passive islanding de- tection and active islanding detection, and points out application based on advantages and disadvanta- ges. The current positive feedback disturbance method is proposed to solve the problem in the non- detection zone. It is showed that there is little influence on power quality and fast avting. The simula- tion results verify its effectiveness.
