M ethod The DNA ofLactic acid bacteria andBfi idobacteria w ere am plified by using their specific or universal prmi er, and checked out if the straps in the DGGE profiles correspondedw ellw ith those prepared from type strains. R esu lt The DGGE profiles ind icated that there w as a dom inant strap in each gel correspond ing w ith DGGE m arker am plified both by their specific prmi ers and un iversal prmi er of bacteria. Conc lusion The DGGE m arker we prepared could be used for ind icating the ex istence of tested type strains, and thus provide an new appoach form on itoring species change by using DGGE in m icrob io logical study.
