1. Learn some useful words and expressions:
almost, term, cheer, cheer…on, team, win, row, bit, quite a bit / a lot, join, club, volleyball
2. Learn future tense with “be going to”:
(1)Are you going to play basketball?
(2)There is going to be a basketball game between Class Three and our class this Sunday.
3. Talk about preference:
— Which sport do you prefer, cycling or rowing?
— I prefer rowing.
4. Talk about sports and games.

T: Which sport do you like better, … or … ? S1, please.
S1: I like…better.
T: Good! The phrase “like…better” means prefer.

S2: Basketball.
T: We all know doing sports is good for our health. Now let’s review some sports and learn some new ones.
